The St. Louis Cardinals are 6-3 on the road this season and are heavy favorites to beat the Milwaukee Brewers who are 2-9 at home. The Cardinals have a better than 60% chance of winning based on 10,000 game simulations generated one play at a time by the AccuScore Simulation Supercomputer. Cardinals\' starter Adam Wainwright is forecasted to have a better game than Brewers\' starter Wily Peralta. Adam Wainwright has a 60% chance of having a Quality Start (QS) while Wily Peralta has a 53% chance of a QS. If Adam Wainwright has a quality start the Cardinals has a 72% chance of winning. His simulated strikeout to walk ratio is 6.5 and he has a 55% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio. When he has a 5/1 ratio the Cardinals win 67%. In Wily Peralta quality starts the Brewers win 49%. He has a 18% chance of having a 5 to 1 K/BB ratio and if he does his team wins 49% of simulations. In simulations we tracked the batter for each team that was most productive based his average hits, walks and RBI per simulation. The most productive batter for the Milwaukee Brewers is Adam Lind who averaged 1.69 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 25% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Brewers have a 46% chance of winning. The most productive batter for the St. Louis Cardinals is Matt Carpenter who averaged 2.15 hits+walks+RBI. He has a 35% chance of having a big game with 3+ Hits, Walks, RBI and if he has a big game the Cardinals have a 80% chance of winning.

With all the Royals' brawls, you should also look at hits per 9 innings.Vidor wrote:Cardinals team ERA: 1.92
Next lowest team ERA: Royals, 2.98

Yadi (sore knee) unsure if he'll play Sat. Good news: ball hit all muscle. #stlcards, already w/ short bench, may have to make roster move.

Interesting note on #stlcards rotation ERA of 2.06: It's the franchise's lowest rotation ERA through 15 games since 1943 (1.91).
