Each of those pictures took place during an baseball game.
I thought that might be it. I just figured the internet is a pretty big place and you never know who might be viewing something. Could be somebody who has no idea what baseball is.

Hope will do you no good. They'll push him. LaRussa's one of the best managers of all time but dealing with injured players isn't one of his strong suits.

It isn't LaRussa's strong suit, but he tends to defer to his veterans when it comes to injuries. Carpenter has established that he can distinguish the big stuff from the little stuff, so I'm not as worried about him as I am about Mulder. Mulder hasn't got a clue, which is too bad, because he never would've been a Cardinal if he had.
