Jenifer Langosch ‏@LangoschMLB

Carp diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Will attempt to pitch through it, then likely undergo offseason procedure, says GM Mozeliak.

Another bangup job done by the Cardinals medical staff, don't you love the fact that it takes them 3-4 months to diagnose problems?

This diagnosis isn't blindsiding anyone. My guess is that they're now calling it thoracic outlet syndrome because they've decided that compression distal to the shoulder/neck is not a contributing factor. Shouldn't change a thing about the way he's been handled.

Worse to have it than not have it, but it's nothing we didn't already know he had.

He will die tomorrow if he does not get an emergency head transplant. Whose head will be on his shoulders tomorrow? What will he look like? Nobody knows.

What is the difference between thoracic outlet syndrome and shoulder impingement syndrome?

Guess I should drop him from my fantasy squad if he's gonna die. Amirite?

Good idea. Maybe you'll get lucky and some idiot on your league isn't paying attention and picks up his corpse on the waiver wire as well.

Impingement at the brachial plexus qualifies as thoracic outlet syndrome, so nothing really.
