While I was adding that to my wish list , I found this one.

Wonder when the movie of the 2011 end of season comes out?

I just watched the last 3 innings of game 6 again. I honestly still don't know if that game has fully sunk in for me. Seriously, how the hell did that happen? How did we end up down to the final strike of the season -twice!- and still emerge as world champs? No matter how many times I watch it, I just can't believe that happened. It's beyond belief, really.

It'll always be the greatest game in Cardinal history but I have to admit there's something unsettling about knowing it's already taken place.

Ha, I know exactly what you're saying. For me, this whole season has had a bit of an underwhelming vibe because of it. They're in a pennant chase, and could very well make a run in the postseason, but will it compare to last year? No way. I think it'll take a few years to get away from the "umbrella" of 2011 and get that must-win fire back. That's not a bad thing, either - it just shows how completely amazing that run was.

Kyle Lohse popped a bunt over Adrian Beltre's head.

No, really. In the most important at-bat of his career, Kyle Lohse delivered the worst possible bunt you could imagine, and it went over Adrian Beltre's head.

Why did I wait so long to read this thread? That Game 6 print is awesome, and is apparently not being printed anymore?

True. Though some here have disputed it, I contend that it was close to being a triple play.

/am I remembering it correctly?

If you watch the replay it probably wouldn't have been a triple play because no one was covering second base. Lohse would have been out, Beltre would have thrown to first to double off Jay, but Descalso would have gotten back to second base. Of course, having Descalso at second with two outs and our season down to Theriot would not have been a recipe for success.

Do teams even practice bunting for situations like that? The Rangers had the wheel play on, correct?

Considering how deep the OFers were playing during Berkman's AB, Lohse's bunt was more impressive than Berkman's blooper.

Most important bunt in Cards history? Ever?
