What sort of rumor? And if he's topping out at 86 why wouldn't the P-D report that? Not doubting you, am genuinely puzzled.

That kind of thing bugs me. The P-D has reporters and this is their beat. If Jaime Garcia can't crack 86 mph in the minors, you'd think they'd actually be able to find out.
