I don't think they'd release him... but I would definitely take a flier on him for the right price. I wouldn't pay more than two or three mil for him at this point.

He won't be released, at least not this year. He has an option left, so the Cubs could send him to AAA if needed.

If the Cubs still have Kerry Wood on their team, they are no where near even considering letting Prior go.

I can't sleep thanks in part to the realization that I'd rather have Braden Looper as a starter than Mark Prior as a starter.

Let me add a note, they release him, AND he will NEVER be able to get his velocity back to even 90 MPH.
Would you still sign him, and hope he can learn to be a finesse pitcher?
