Adam Dunn Stinks
At least that's what Steve Phillips just implied. He said that Dunn kills rallies, and insinuates that the Reds should put him on the market.
First of all, duh. Of course they should put him on the market. They are 50 games below .500 and there are teams out there that could use Dunn.
Second, if a team doesn't trade for Dunn because he kills rallies, then that GM needs to be tarred and feathered for stupidity.

Well, then again, its Steve Phillips. The question is not "why would Phillips say that" so much as it is "why the hell are giving you nutjobs like that the opportunity to express their warped opinions to you by watching the crapfest that is Baseball Tonight on the crap-churning network of the name ESPN?"
Please ignore the fact that the above is a run-on sentence of epic proportions.

The Reds should trade Dunn, I agree--to us!
I'll take that rally killing .523 slugging any day.
Adam Dunn is good. After I looked up his numbers I looked up Albert's for comparison because the general impression is that Albert is having a down year (by his standards), and he is. His OPS+ is only 150 right now. Dunn's career best is 152. (He's currently at 122)
So Albert's off year (to date) is as good as Dunn's career best. Just sayin'.

You would really take Dunn? I don't know, he just doesn't do it for me. Sure the guy can hit some bombs, but there's just nothing more painful than a bunch of strikeouts (Preston Wilson, please stay hurt.)
Reds wouldn't trade him to us anyways, but it's worth talking about. I guess he could play outfield.
Also, is he seperated at birth with Will Ferrell?

that would probably be the worst outfield defense in the history of baseball. Dunn in right would be a sight to watch (or Duncan for that matter, though I think Dunn would probably be the one that's moved).longhornbaseball wrote:Juan goes bye-bye.vh2k6 wrote:the cards could definitely use him, but they don't have a place to put him. Duncan should be in the lineup every day, and with Duncan and Pujols on the team, Dunn (or perhaps Duncan) wouldn't have a spot.
I can't see Jocketty or La Russa going for it.

Give me Will Ferrell's look-alike and his offense every day.
