I think I like this move, although I think the GM decision is more important right now.

Good for Tony. I'm glad to have him back. I still believe he can take any team and lead it to more wins than just about any other manager in the league.

I've come to believe La Russa will squeeze more out of Aaron Miles than other managers would get out of your average backup infielder. That's not to say we should be paying Miles a million a year, but if we're going to it's not the end of the world. As long as he's not a starter.
