That's another great name from the past that we like to bring up from time to time.

My brother and I got sick of using great players when we'd play wiffle ball or tenny ball so we'd compete against each other with the likes of Jerry Davanon, Don Hahn, "No-neck" Williams, Tom Heintzelman, Larvell Blanks, Dick Billings and with guys on the mound like Bill Grief, Danny Frisella or Steve Foucault.

And it wouldn't make sense to not have one of him from the 70s



Very weird Tony LaRussa Topps cards. If I'm not mistaken, he only had cards from 1964, 1968 and 1972. Not sure if he was running for president or playing baseball.

Actually I don't think it is. Sure looks like him, but I think McCarver is right that it is Brant Alyea. And now that you say his number was 22 I'm certain you are right.
