wow, what a letdown of a series...
TLR-led teams used to be really good at finishing strong...guess that wasn't a trait that was teachable or repeatable...

So, you're a Brewers fan? Where ya live? West Allis? Waukesha? Menomenee Falls? Maybe somewhere in the city? Lived there myself while attending Marquette back in the early 80s.gobrewersgo wrote:I smell a sweep, and fall another game behind the Brewers, who are up 7-0 top 9 and btw CC has a 1 hit shutout going, and that hit should have been a error.
Great bars on campus, on the east side, and all over the rest of the city. Good times!
Who's on your all-time Brewer team? Coop at 1st, Molly at 2nd, Robin at SS, Don Money at 3B, Oglivie, Gorman, and BJ in the OF with Simba behind the plate? Pitching staff of Caldwell, Vuke, Teddy Higuera, Jaime Navarro, and Sheets?
You must worship that 'glory year' team, 'Harvey's Wallbangers'. Those guys were good.
Cardinals were a bit better though.

This is only the third time we've been shutout this season?
Seems like more.

As we bid a fond farewell to this year's Cardinals post season hopes, let's ponder all the positive things that have come to pass:
-The emergence of Ryan Ludwick
-Rick Ankiel's continued developement
-Molina's improvement with the bat
-Glaus providing a solid bat and glove at third
We've got Albert too.
This was crappy series, no doubt. Let's hope the fellas aren't folding the tent and calling it a year a month early.
Bullpen, starting staff, and the middle infield need work if this team hopes to match the Brewers and Cubs over the next few years.
