I am not interested in the classy move. I am only interested in moves that help the cardinals

The part that confuses me is we thought highly enough of Barton to burn an entire roster spot on him last year, but then we trade him for replacement level right handed relief that we end up dropping after a month and a half.

Last year who knew Ludwick was going to be an All-Star, Ankiel was going to hit, Duncan was out for the entire season, Skip never had more than 200 at bats in the big league, and Rasmus was not ready.
