Martinez obviously. You know Matheny is going to have him saying 50 rosaries.
He was too busy out banging and transmitting STD's.

Jason Marquis was, AFAIK, our last Jewish player. No way I'd be going to one of these things.

Pitching was suppose to be a strength and has been a major let down.
I tried making this point in the other thread to illustrate that it isn't so much the 1-8 against Cubs/Nats/Bucs that is concerning as much as it is they are only 5-3 when scoring 5+ runs and 1-2 when scoring 4 runs....if they are 7-1 in the former and 2-1 in the latter, they are 15-10. They have to do better against top notch pitching, but their own starting pitching should be good enough to win when given 4+ runs.

I would like to think that playing time isn't influenced by who attends those sessions, but I fear it does.

FWIW - that picture with the Cardinals getting hypnotized by the deflocked preacher is front page of the print P-D.

I get the worry, but where would you say this is true? Maybe I'm giving too much credit, but my gut feel is that MM makes his baseball decisions on baseball. MM is outspoken off the field I know, but most if not all baseball locker rooms share the same trait - a bunch of hard drinking ball scratching hard drinking skirt chasing men who ask for forgiveness on Sunday morning so they don't go into a big slump.

That's a good way to get fired.

Really? I can't believe that would happen. Christians can separate their religions beliefs and their jobs, we have to do it all the time. I could lose my job if I spoke openly about my faith all the time. I need my job, and would not risk it. I would guess Mike is the same way. If he is not, he should be fired.

Edit - professional Christians with a brain, not idiot Christians like Schilling.
