Move over TBBFIA:

Luke Scott (Tampa Bay Rays) on Red Sox Fans:

Quote:
"Just their arrogance," Scott said. "The fans come in and they take over the city. They're ruthless. They're vulgar. They cause trouble. They talk about your family. Swear at you. Who likes that? When people do that, it just gives you more incentive to beat them. Then when things like [the last game of last season] happen, you celebrate even more. You go to St. Louis -- classiest fans in the game. You do well, there's no vulgarity. You know what? You don't wish them bad."

Luke Scott talks too much for his own good.

You know when the Sox were in town for the WS I didn't find them to be like that at all. Sure there was some good natured ribbing but I found them much less annoying then Cubs fans.

If there's anyone who knows class, it's Luke Scott.

I was in Boston during the 2004 WS and proudly wore my Cards hat around town. Not a single person was rude to me in any way; in fact, I had a number of pleasant and intelligent conversations about the Series on the subway and in bars with passionate Sox fans.

I'm sure there's plenty of vulgarity and ugliness among some drunks at Fenway. But I really don't believe that that stuff doesn't happen at the Busch bleachers too.

I was at Game 4 of the 2004 WS in the bleachers and didn't have one single complaint about the Boston fans around us. We had a great time at the game even though the Cards got swept. Then after the game we spent hours hanging out with some fans from Boston as they celebrated at Paddy O's. At one point a pizza delivery guy showed up from Elicia's with a bag full of pizzas to sell and they even bought us pizza. Their reaction to the pizza was hilarious too. They were not expecting the St. Louis style pizza. They opened the first pizza and the first words from one of the guys was "I thought I bought a pepperoni pizza, not a peppeporini frisbee!" Once they dug into it, they actually enjoyed it. Although after seeing their team win a WS for the first time in generations, I'm pretty sure they would have ate sand and enjoyed it.

I had a similar thought.

EVERY team has great and horrid fans.

Most fans have had moments of both. (I know I have)
