Seems like it might be time for Allen to learn a new trade.

Weird sentence on Craig's wiki page
Besides the outfield and first base, he has appeared at every position except pitcher, catcher and shortstop.

The history of the family's residence before Allen's birth suggests the author is either a relative or somebody with a bad case of Internet stalking. Maybe Rasmus Girl has a younger brother. Not quite Sam Fuld's "more footnotes than Calvin Coolidge's" page though.

Craig apparently got his degree at Cal, and not in the Brian Barton sense of having a degree, so I assume he has some ability to delay gratification. If he saved up a good chunk from that contract, then he and his family probably don't have much interest in spending the summer in El Paso.

Craig still doesn't have 5 years of major league service time.

They misphrased that badly. He has played 66% of the positions which isn't almost all of them. It's more positions than a lot of guys play but not unheard of. And when he played 2B it was mostly when LaRussa just wanted to get his bat into the lineup so he usually put him in there when the starting pitcher had a tendency to draw ground balls to the left side of the infield.

More Craig wiki
Further, with an inefficient, semi-sidearm throwing motion that he could not resolve, Craig relied on his innate strength to compensate for time lost.[48]

Wow. At first I was surprised by this, but then realized he's barely been in the majors since he was traded.

He's not Brian Barton or Stephen Piscotty. Everyone knows properly assembling that [expletive] requires a degree in aerospace engineering.

White Sox signed INF Dean Anna to a minor league contract.
Anna spent the entire 2017 campaign with the Triple-A affiliate of the Royals, batting .285/.364/.376 with five home runs and six stolen bases in 112 games. The 31-year-old utility infielder has logged just 26 career plate appearances at the major league level, all between the 2014-2015 seasons.
