This game was awesome. To top off this amazing night, I got retweeted (not because I asked to be) by Mark Mulder. A sad story in Cardinal history EXCEPT that HE hit a home run and WON our stadium opener.

The BBTN guys completely trashed the Miami fans, basically said there was no way they were going to support the team consistently. Not that I disagree, I just thought it was funny they couldn't even let them have one night to enjoy the baseball spotlight without calling them out.

that stadium emptied pretty quickly while the marlins still had a chance to come back...

With them building the stadium the franchise is pretty much stuck in Miami now, if they didn't build that new stadium they could've potentially flirted with the possibility of relocating but that's out the window now.

Wasn't that partially because they were cheering for the Heat after the game and had already forgotten there was a baseball team in town?
