Someone mentioned it earlier. This was a tip of the hat performance from Arroya. One rough inning mixed with 7 innings of filth. He was on TOP of his game today. So if the Cards dont come back, I cant really be upset with this loss. I didnt see how well Cain and Lee looked last night but I would bet Broson's stuff was just as good today as either of them.

For I am but a simple caveman. I can't understand your fancy modern posts about sabermetrics. I just know that the cardinals rule all.

"Jon Jay was forced from Thursday's game against the Reds with a sprained right shoulder, and is day-to-day.
Jay recklessly careened into the center-field wall chasing after a no doubt Drew Stubbs home run in the seventh, though he didn't appear to be seriously injured coming off the field. He's likely truly day-to-day, but probably won't be in Friday's lineup against the Pirates. A 27-year-old workhorse who appeared in 159 games last season, the Cardinals can ill afford a long-term injury to their second-youngest starter with so many injury-prone veterans in tow. "

Poop.
