ugh. This team has started so well, but you can just feel the injuries starting to undermine them. No Carpenter, Berkman, Jay, Schumaker. Wainwright doesn't look right. I just don't see how long they can keep winning when the roster begins to look more and more like a AAA team.

Too bad he pinch ran Saturday night. Could have back dated the DL trip by a couple more days.

Shoulder injuries are more fickle than high school girl friends and feline torties.

I'm ok with the "no Schumaker" part. Missing Craig for this first month has hurt though.OmahaCard79 wrote:ugh. We really haven't missed Craig at all with the way Carpenter and the might Shane Robinson have been hitting. But no doubt we are better off with Craig's bat in the lineup and coming off the bench. The dude can mash.heyzeus wrote:I'm ok with the "no Schumaker" part. Missing Craig for this first month has hurt though.OmahaCard79 wrote:ugh. Take away Matt's game where he nearly hit for the cycle and his numbers are a little less impressive. Even with that game he's at an OPS of .831.Hungary Jack wrote: We really haven't missed Craig at all with the way Carpenter and the might Shane Robinson have been hitting. I'd rather have Craig there, if anything so that we don't have to start Descalso and Greene when Freese needs a day off.

May I suggest a new meme for when he returns?

That's assuming you want Craig, and not Descalso or Carpenter, playing third base. I think that ship has sailed.
