Tigers release Inge, call up Eldred

Brandon deserves some happiness, I hope he finds it.

He has a life of weekend sports dominance to look forward to.

Inge is the more versatile athlete; he can kick a 50-yard field goal, dunk a basketball, and may have driven a golf ball 400 yards.

Brandon Inge got to play in the big leagues for 11 years, hopefully that makes him happy.

Shaq was merely a stand in for Brandon Inge in the Pepsi "Shaq Attack" ad campaign.

IIRC, there was some support here for bringing him in as a FA at 3B to succeed the Great Feliz.

I would think that some other time will pick up Inge this season but chances are this is his final season in the majors.

The way I remember it is we came close to making a deal for Inge but it fell through, which is why we settled for Feliz.

I think Spider is talking about the next year. I thought he was a good choice as a UT and backup at 3B in case Freese got hurt. He's a great defender at 3b. We entered that offseason not thinking we had much money available for upgrades. But, then we raised payroll by close to $10M and the rest is history.
