Is Craig still due back tomorrow?

Will he sub at 1st while Berkman is still out?

Now that Schumaker is a .368 hitter (cough), will Craig get any starts at 2B over Schu/Danny Barefoot/Thler?

I doubt that Craig sees any time at 2b at all. Seems like that ship has sailed. I think he's supposed to be back tomorrow and will play 1b with Carpenter. Probably won't split time unless he doesn't hit or has some setback sneak up.

I would also think that he may not get time at 2b right after coming off a knee injury.

There a lot of ways that he could tweek a knee a 2b- lots of plays that involve short stops and starts and movement-not to mention turning a DP and avoiding a runner taking you out. And his not a natural 2b which means he is not being experienced there could make it easier to get injured I just can't imagine that they would take a chance on it when he could play 1b or the OF.

Who goes down? It's either Robinson or Carpenter, both of whom have been playing very well, or Greene or Komatsu, who haven't been as good but would also have to be cut loose permanently. I'm really curious to see which way they go here.

With an extra outfielder in the form of Craig, I'm really not sure what Komatsu and his .496 OPS brings to the table on the big league club. It would be nice to be able to stock him in AAA, but we'd have to make a trade of some sort to do that. My guess is we'll miss his bus.

Craig has homered twice tonight off Travis Wood, a guy supposedly at AAA because the Cubs are trying to manipulate his service time.

Except LaHair is having a great start to the season, so it's somewhat defensible to keep Rizzo at AAA. The Cubs starting rotation is not having a great start to the season. Course, Wood isn't a stud prospect like Rizzo, either...
