Rumor had him topping out @ 86mph.... if these assignments are about building up arm strength, then he's not close to coming back. On the other hand if they take their time with Jaime it might line up to when Joe Kelly's arm vaporizes...

What sort of rumor? And if he's topping out at 86 why wouldn't the P-D report that? Not doubting you, am genuinely puzzled.

I'll go with the end of the month. They'll give him at least 2 starts, but that's probably all it will take for them to see he needs surgery. Hope i'm wrong.
