Hard to say how much of it was speaking up for a friend, but I remember Albert on more than once occasion saying it would or could happen.

A subject I never see being discussed by the TV talkers, is how much of the Cards improved hitting is due to the instructions and help from our hitting coach- Mark Mac? I think he deserves a lot of credit for straightening out flaws and teaching tips on how to hit the baseball up the middle and to the opposite field. Everyone up and down the whole lineup seems to be hitting better since he came on board. He is flying under the radar, in my view.

Also, I have really liked Jon Jay from the beginning. His batting approach was very different, but I thought he got himself ready to hit with every pitch. What more can you ask for? He has been very good on defense, as well. Seems very comfy in cf slot.

Can you explain this? I'm not really sure what you mean.

David Ortiz also said Juan Cabrera had the talent of ARod too in the documentary Road to the Big Leagues and was going to sign for huge money. Who is Juan Cabrera you ask? Exactly.

If all the ridiculous crap surrounding Rasmus had been absent, I probably would have been really bugged with him being a Blue Jay right now. Of course, you could make the case that he'd likely still be here if not for all the nonsense. But as it stands, even with him hitting and ignoring the 2011 WS victory, I'm just not that upset he's no longer a Cardinal.

Oh, and I admit that I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to effectively evaluating players jumping from one level of sports to another. All sports. It's pretty much based on how confident I think they look or act.

I've been all downhill ever since I correctly predicted good things for Dan Haren.

We're still in the running to maybe be right about trading Perez over Motte.

Perfect example. I didn't think either one of them would amount to anything.

The Jess Todd bandwagon on the other hand...

I liked the move to send Jim Edmonds to San Diego for a minor-league 3rd baseman.

Since this is a Molina thread, I thought this was the best place to post this picture of Yadi at the plate that my niece sent to me last Thursday (obviously she had great seats).
