Surgery to repair torn cartilege in his knee. I'm surprised nobody here is talking about this.

Votto is the leading candidate for MVP right now, IMO, and the Reds offense isn't very good after him. Can they sustain this loss?

That's okay. MVP candidate from one of our biggest rivals goes down - I think that's worthy of its own thread.

It'll be interesting to see how the Reds offense is without him - and whether they make some sort of move to fill his absence.

Did I read correctly that he did this a few weeks back but still played in the All Star game and against us? If true 1. pretty dumb to let him play in all star game 2. they valued that series with us very highly

after our series with them they have a very week schedule...they will be fine
