The good news is Molina is back in the lineup.

I was at the game Saturday and sitting right by where the players walked by from the clubhouse to the dugout, and Berkman looked like an 80 year old man just walking. He just looked terrible ... I was surprised he was in the lineup that day.

What's the deal with Furcal?

Says Furcal's back in the lineup. I was getting really worried about him.

Johnny Damon was just DFA'ed by the Indians I would be more inclined to picking him up then recalling Shane Robinson.

Glad we didn't trade the Torty Master.

I mentioned this in the game thread, but there were much better options to call up than Shane Robinson. Matt Adams, Ryan Jackson... just to name 2. Oscar Taveras would have been an option as well, I guess. Sugar Shane is an absolute waste of a roster space. He doesn't belong in the big leagues even in a call-up fashion. This is not the time to be messing around with guys like that in the lineup just because he's right handed. He's such a bad player that he's considerably worse against lefties than Jay is -- ops is 123 points below Jay's career #'s vs. LHP's.

Think about that... when you bench Jay for Robinson because of a platoon advantage you are dropping from a 723 ops gold-glove quality CF'er in Jay to a 600 ops hitter. I mean... why would any professional baseball team think that's a good decision? Especially when you have an impact hitter and future starter like Matt Adams or a useful player like Jackson sitting in Memphis.

Lance's career might be over. I would be surprised if the Card gave him much more of a chance this year with Craig around. Two more weeks on the DL at least and then they'll probably make him do a rehab stint this time. Maybe he's used as a ph guy and spot starter down the stretch, but Craig needs to be in there every day.
