semi-annual Marlins fire sale has begun.

reports that Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle are headed to Toronto for Yunel Escobar and Adneiny Hechavarria. Sounds just awful.

Some reports that the deal may include Jose Reyes, as well...so sure, why not.

Watch out for the Jays....Buehrle and JJ may be the boost they need to finally compete in the AL East.

apparently the deal is Johnson, Reyes, Buehrle, Bonafacio, and Buck for Yunel Escobar, Justin Nicolino, Jake Marisnick, Henderson Alvarez and Adeiny Hechavarria.

they didn't even get D'Arnaud back.

it's a lot of money going to Toronto, but it's a ton of talent as well.

That just sounds like a lazy dump to me. You're telling me that you can't get a better return by making all these guys available individually to different teams? This early in the offseason?

team is dead in that city. Seems like now it's only a matter of time before it moves unless MLB can somehow force the owners to sell it to appropriate owners. Fans didn't go much to begin with, now the team is diseased. Wonder what they'll do with that new stadium they're going to get stiffed on.

MLB Network says it's almost official;
Blue Jays will be getting:
SS Jose Reyes
SP's Mark Buerle & Josh Johnson
C John Buck
UT Emilio Bonifacio

Marlins would be getting:
SS's Yunel Escobar & Adeiny Hechavarria
SP Henderson Alavarez
lefty pitching prospect Justin Nicolino

I'd be surprised if Miami draws even a million in attendance.
