Carlos Beltran the humanitarian

Post by planet planet »

I know it's been brought up in various threads how Carlos goes to hospitals to visit kids on his off days. Yesterday he went to St. Cecilia to talk to kids about the value of education. This Nightengale article is worth the read. I just brought in my Beltran bobble head to work yesterday.

Strauss thinks you're not the BBFIA if you want to bring him back on a lower-dollar contract.

ST. LOUIS -- Carlos Beltran is sitting in the hospital lobby, smothering his cough, wiping his nose, trying to get over a nasty flu bug.

He walks upstairs, turns the corner, enters the hospital room, and there is a balding 15-year-old boy, Jason, who shrieks at the sight.

"Oh, my God," he says, "it's you. It's you!"

uhhh
