Excellent clarification in the article - it's the pace of the game that needs improved, not necessarily the time.Jocephus wrote:http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/11903 ... all-leagueCommentary

I really like that article too. I also think improving the pace of games will have a positive effect on offense- if pitchers haven't got endless mound visits and time to ponder and prepare, there's going to be more stuff that the batter can hit.jim wrote:Excellent clarification in the article - it's the pace of the game that needs improved, not necessarily the time.Jocephus wrote:http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/11903 ... all-leagueCommentary

And then they'll add another 60 seconds to the commercial breaks and the games will go right back to 3 1/2 hours.
Have you watched Big Bang Theory lately? The first commercial break between the teaser and Act One is five minutes long!

Since you're talking about Big Bang Theory I would think long commercial breaks would be a plus.

Well, quite, but when shows feel able to drift below the 20 minute mark, it feels like a bad barrier.lukethedrifter wrote:Since you're talking about Big Bang Theory I would think long commercial breaks would be a plus.
