I'm not very excited about it either way. But we're good fans here, we let the Blazers rip our hearts out over and over again and still fill the Rose Garden. The Timbers season ticket waiting list is literally 15 years long. Under Armor is moving a major operation here to join Adidas and Nike. And for all the beer snobs who jizz when you mention Wes Anderson, there are a lot more regular families.

Of course they would probably be a teal and purple team named something stupid like Portland Rain ("Beavers" or go straight to hell) or something. And I'm a Cardinals fan and have been since I was a child. Traffic would be an even bigger disaster, and the terms for the stadium have to be right (it worked out well for Portland with the Timbers, but it seems like some other city would take it right up the ass for MLB). At the end of the day, I'm not sure I'd go watch the Portland Tempest much more than I do the Mariners.
It's gotta be the Portland Thinkers

Or go straight to Portland Battered Bastards. You can call them the BB's for short.

Snake Plissken played second base for the Mavericks, but Satchel Paige pitched for the Beavers. And 'Beavers' baseball goes all the way back to Dickety-2.

Watch that Kurt Russell Christmas movie on Netflix and tell me they should still be called The Mavericks.

Tony La Russa believes major league baseball would work in Nashville, and he wants to be a part of it.

La Russa, a three-time World Series winner as a manager and a 2014 inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame, is part of an advisory group put together by John Loar, who wants to bring a big-league team to Music City.

Baseball fans roasted the awful logo for Orlando's proposed MLB expansion team
Orlando Magic co-founder Pat Williams held a press conference on Wednesday to launch a campaign to bring an expansion MLB team to the city of Orlando. He had a name for the team — the Orlando Dreamers — and he brought props for the announcement.

But, oh man, it was a sad sight.

Williams, standing at a podium set up inside a golf course’s bar, unveiled the name and logo for his Orlando baseball franchise that essentially doubled as a declaration to the minimal effort invested in this whole process. Williams appeared to have built a logo entirely with clipart stock images.

Several more examples of the lack of support for the logo; but those were a couple of my favorites.

Another Florida MLB franchise? Bad idea IMO.

Let’s see, we have a state with two of the worst records for fan support. A brilliant idea would be to place a team right between them. Let’s also give them a crappy name, logo, and have them use the ball thingy at Epcot Center as a temporary stadium just for kicks.
