If there's a criticism for Oh, it's that he isn't efficient with his pitches.

Mike Mayers has an ERA of 60.75 and a game score of -10. Welcome to the big leagues.

What a funeral. I assume Westboro Baptist Church will be picketing his next start.Mary1966 wrote:Mike Mayers has an ERA of 60.75 and a game score of -10. Welcome to the big leagues.

In extra inning games, Larussa would blow thru position players, but was real tight with preserving pitchers. It would drive me bonkers at time-how he'd practically tank a winnable game for sake of the next few days' pitching set up. Seems like it paid off overall having a reduced chance of winning the extra innings game, greater chance in upcoming days.
Am I misremembering that? Matheny doesn't seem to do that.

I thought using Lyons for as long as Matheny did on Friday was the smart way to go, even if that meant starting Mayers tonight.Freed Roger wrote:In extra inning games, Larussa would blow thru position players, but was real tight with preserving pitchers.
