He only has to play CF for a year and then Werth will be gone.XZero77 wrote:One of the problems I'd have with this if I were a Nats fan is that Eaton, while great in RF, has been poor-mediocre defensively in CF, which is where he seems destined to play. A decent chunk of Eaton's WAR last year came from his defense. He's not a 6 WAR CF.

Hooray for the little guys! Disappointed that Stubby Clapp didn't make the cut (he only missed by 0.4 WAR).

How are they calculating that, since I would think players like Freddie Patek and Fred Norman would make the list.
N/M--it's outfielders.

Aaron Miles would be tied for 15th on that list if they counted his 32.1 total innings of time in the OF. He ended up with exactly 1.0 WAR for his career.

What an awful trade.
Giolito is the best pitcher in the AL. And if they kept him, they'd have the top 3 pitchers in baseball on the Nats as well as Corbin. Insane.

But would they still be the Nats? They have a history of not meeting expectations as a team.Big Amoco Sign wrote:What an awful trade.

Good reminder that Reyes may not be finished. People never would have expected Giolito to live up to his prospect status after last year.
