If I'm being completely honest, I am understating when I say the right shoe is in bad shape. The sole is literally split halfway across. I'm just praying that it holds up until I get home.Fat_Bulldog wrote:Oh man, this is so funny. I did literally laugh out loud at this.tlombard wrote:Feels about right that the Cards blow this though. I managed to get all the way to work before realizing that I am wearing two different shoes. Both black dress shoes but from different pairs. I was in a big hurry and didn't pay any attention.
Oh, and the right one is in bad shape while the left one is new so as soon as I looked down at my feet I wanted to just cry. I'm trying to avoid leaving my desk as much as possible. Of course I had to give a training/presentation to 40 or so people earlier. Thankfully I needed to be demonstrating it all on the laptop so I was able to hide behind the podium the entire time.
But the Cards won so it's still a good day. Now the Blues just need to take care of business tonight!

2-1 wins seem to be the thing now.
Pitching looking good again.
It's a long season.

From our (nominal) 3,4, and 5 starters, no less.Magneto2.0 wrote:2-1 wins seem to be the thing now.

If the Cubs lose today (and they are losing) we're only a game behind them.

Yep. Just need Martinez to get his head on straight and lower the walks and it's a really good staff.MrCrowesGarden wrote:From our (nominal) 3,4, and 5 starters, no less.Magneto2.0 wrote:2-1 wins seem to be the thing now.

Unfortunately everyone knows Waino is our fifth starter except Waino and Matheny

Glad we won. Glad we swept. Don't know if scoring at this pace is a sustainable method for success. Cardinals have to be amongst the worst offensive teams in baseball to this point. And, while the sweep of the buccos is nice, uh, I'm still upset with how this season is going.
