Position players we might not have many future stars but the Cardinals have a good 2-3 pitchers not including Reyes that could be front line starters in the majors if they continue to develop (Fernandez, Alcantara and potentially Flaherty)

There's potential but I'm not hitching my wagon to any of them.

The Cardinals are where they were in 2007-08. They have to adjust their approach to team building because their formula stopped working.

biggest difference is that there isnt a HOFer in the lineup and a HOFer in the dugout.

La Russa wasn't very good at the end. The 2010 team collapsed. He needed a miracle finish to reach the playoffs with Berkman, Pujols and Holliday in the middle of the lineup. Compare that to the [expletive] they're rolling out there now.

I try not to judge a team until after Memorial Day, but this is the most boring baseball team I feel like I've ever witnessed. Maybe it's because my baseball obsession didn't really start until the early 2000's near the beginning of our awesome wave.

Make Cardinals baseball fun again.
