13-0 against Phillies, pirates, Marlins, and braves.

19-37 against everyone else.

Next 5 games are against Phillies and pirates.

Only part of the game I heard was Horton talking about how they ran themselves out of an inning. Third maybe?

I listened to the first half of the game on KMOX, my very first radio experience. Pretty good, honestly, I think I'll do that again.

They ran themselves out of multiple innings early in the game with stupid boneheaded plays.

It should have been 3-0 or 4-0 by about the 3rd or 4th inning.

Tommy Pham is a hell of a quote:
“I believe this is a game where you just have to do your part,” outfielder Tommy Pham said. “You can’t try to do anyone else’s part. You have to do your part. Here is a perfect example. If it’s a 3-1 count and you know that you’ve got a guy struggling behind you maybe and you’re hitting the ball. You chase ball four. Then you just got yourself out. Believe that the guy behind you is going to keep the line moving. You can’t do too much. You have to take what this game gives you. Trust. I believe, he’s absolutely right. You have to believe guys are going to come in and do their job.

“Guys are trying to pick up from the slow start here,” Pham continued. “That’s all it is. Everybody is trying to get back to their normal.”
A shot at the cliques?
Since returning from Class AAA, Pham has described other ways the team can pull in the same direction. He told KMOX radio (1120 AM) that the release of Jhonny Peralta was disappointing because “he shows up every day and he prepares to play. He’s not part of the chess club, the ping pong club, the video game club. He’s a true pro.” When Pham headed out recently to work on baserunning during BP, he found at least one teammate waiting to work with him. Matheny said that he has seen other examples of this “intention to improve.”
