He lives in NYC. He can't help it. And I am on record as saying mikolas will have a better season than darvish. So feel free to make sure no one forgets this.

Be sure to be as loud and proud when the Cardinals team physician announces that the ganglion growth on Mo's ball sack is technically called a dmarx.

Eh, I was half-ish correct...Good call dmarx114dmarx114 wrote:Must be a different market.TimeForGuinness wrote:No, I read it correctly. Due to the market, I think Lynn will command significantly more than 3/$36m and is a lock to reject the QO.dmarx114 wrote:I don't think you read my post correctly.TimeForGuinness wrote:Mike Leake got 5/$75 million...and you think Lynn is going to come in at half the total contract price? We know there wasn't much interest in him at the deadline.
If he tops out at 3 years, $36 million, taking the qo becomes a possibility.
I will say that there isn't a whole lot of wiggle room in their payroll for 2018 (looking at BR) so I doubt they sign Lynn to come back. I think the Cardinals will make him a QO, and just take the draft pick. I also doubt there will be any big acquisitions (ie: big bat, big arm)...and this will be another year to fill from the farm, give our youngsters a chance, which is fine. I just wish they'd come out and say it.
