It's ridiculous how much flak he's getting so far. The guy has a 128 OPS+ in 51 ABs. His first six games his ops was over 1.000.
So he basically had 5 bad games and people are already throwing him under the bus. Crazy.

St. Louis media would be writing about how great it is he has helped cool the global warming trend with all his swings and misses. Mistake Stanton...big mistake.TheoSqua wrote:It's ridiculous how much flak he's getting so far. The guy has a 128 OPS+ in 51 ABs. His first six games his ops was over 1.000.

Stanton is getting ripped to shreds by the NY media today.
Too bad, so sad.

As he should. Look, I hate stanton for vetoing the trade to St. Louis. But, he wanted a big market; he wanted the bright lights. And he absolutely wilted highlighted by the atrocious AB in the 9th last night.dmarx114 wrote:Stanton is getting ripped to shreds by the NY media today.

For those that didn't see it, Kimbrel walked Judge to open the inning on 4 straight pitches no where near the zone. He then fell behind gregorious and gave up a single. Stanton came up and was fooled by a slider which fell in for a strike. It may have been Kimbrel's first strike of the inning. Then he proceeds to swing at a slider low and away, take a ball over his head for ball one, and swing at a slider low and away. He came up with a pitcher not throwing strikes, only saw one strike, and struck out. Then Voit walked on four straight pitches. Then someone got hit. So, 5 batters went: BB on 4 pitches, single, K on 4 pitches (three of them out of the zone), BB on 4 pitches, HBP.
[expletive] him. And that was a terrible at bat against a struggling ass pitcher.
