The Giants lost 98 games and don't have a lot of room to grow. If Stanton approves, he's not prioritizing winning. If BG's tweet is right, time to move on.

Counterpoint. The Giants have won 3 World Series in the last 8 seasons, and made the playoffs more recently than the Cardinals.

They also have one of the top starting pitchers and the best catcher in the game.

Though I trust Bob Nightengale about as far as I can throw him.

They don't need to move on. There are many options out there. But Stanton was always an unlikely move that didn't make sense for a few reasons.
