The Giants lost 98 games and don't have a lot of room to grow. If Stanton approves, he's not prioritizing winning. If BG's tweet is right, time to move on.

Counterpoint. The Giants have won 3 World Series in the last 8 seasons, and made the playoffs more recently than the Cardinals.Farewell Friends wrote:The Giants lost 98 games and don't have a lot of room to grow. They also have one of the top starting pitchers and the best catcher in the game.
Though I trust Bob Nightengale about as far as I can throw him.

They don't need to move on. There are many options out there. But Stanton was always an unlikely move that didn't make sense for a few reasons.

We just need to show him how cultured the city of St. Louis is and treat him to a night at the Sauget Ballet and he'll be ready to move here in an instant.JL21 wrote:I think you're underestimating the sheer magic of the St. Paul sandwich and t-ravs.TimJomsula wrote:And while you only "have to be" in the city of your team about 90 days of the year, when all things are equal, I would think one would prefer to play for a team that is located in a more desirable city.
