Going on May 23. Day game against the Royals. Wasn't planning to go to a game this year, but pretty hard to pass that deal up.

Looks like I'll be taking my youngest to her first baseball game against the Marlins on June 7. Also snagged a couple seats for another game.

That's an almost guaranteed win. Marlins will be horrendous.

In today’s tv driven market how important are butts in the seats?

I think butts in seats is still very important to the team but what isn't quite as important anymore is the price that they sell the last few thousand tickets for which is why they have run so many special sales the past few years. Teams are so much better and getting every last cent from fans once they get them through the gates than they ever have been before.

Butts in seats aren't only important for the money they spend at the games, they are also still very important when it comes to advertising revenue. It's a lot easier to charge more for a sign inside the ballpark when there are 3.4M tickets sold a year than if there were half of that.

Having a full/nearly full stadium every game looks much better and probably also helps the brand in general which in itself is being monetized in new and 'creative' ways every year.

Summary, butts in seats are very important and I think that's why the team has been doing things like the Ballpark Pass and so many special ticket sales.
