We'll see. I'm very skeptical that he'll be that good again, but I'm not going to say it can't/won't happen.

Wasn't he running like 24mph all out on a treadmill earlier this off-season? As long as his sight holds up..

Yeah, that's the question. He's had a rough career so far.

Those other guys just need better contacts.

I'm skeptical too, but if he really is a 30/30 guy in a full season the Cardinals could have a really, really good OF.

I'm really disappointed in you guys. We're on the second page and not one Nick Punto reference after mentioning The Shredder?

Yup...he's a 30-30 guy just waiting to happen. That got me thinking: have the Cards EVER had a 30-30 player? W/O looking it up, maybe Slaughter?

Pham was the first 25/25 guy, so no.
Don't you have to hit 25 homeruns to be a 25/25 guy?

Yeah, that's "best OF in the league territory".

But, really, Pham just has to be a 15/15 guy to be one of the better CF'ers in the NL, assuming his defense is for real. I think we can count on his BB%, his solid power, solid defense, and his speed -- that right there is enough to make him a legit solid to good starter, regardless of anything else. We can't count on his health, his BABIP staying high, his K/rate, contact ability, and elite defense, but that's all "icing on the cake" stuff that pushes him into MVP territory if he gets it right and doesn't sink him if he gets it wrong.
