Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Giants will remove Bobby Evans as general manager.
Schulman says the team will ask Evans to stay in the organization in another job, but it's unclear whether Evans would accept a reduced role or seek a gig elsewhere. Evans has been the team's GM since 2015 and had one year left on his contract. He presided over one playoff appearance but steered two straight losing seasons. Executive vice president Brian Sabean and manager Bruce Bochy are expected to keep their jobs.

Chris Davis season is over. He finishes with -3.2 WAR and a .168 BA. That's the lowest average of all time and 5th worst WAR. He's due to make 92 million over the next 4 years.
