That didn't look good. How do you not go to the ground?

No good. Hope nothing lingers. That's very scary stuff.

It looked like it hit the bill of his cap by the way it spun around. Still pretty jarring.

BTW Cubs having a tough time at Coors Field. (MLBTV)

I've never seen a batting helmet spin on the head like that. Almost was cartoonish.

Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant took a pitch to the helmet in the first inning of Sunday's 9-7 win against the Rockies and had to leave the game.

Bryant was examined upon exiting the game and passed all tests. He has a small laceration above his left eye from his sunglasses, but shows no signs of a concussion. He will continue to be evaluated.

It looks like he got lucky in that the bill of the helmet took most of the impact and it never actually hit on his actual head, but still too close for comfort.

Kris Bryant injury update: Cubs 3B doing 'as good as could be expected' after hit in head
The Cubs third baseman remains under evaluation but passed all concussion-related tests after getting hit in the head by a 96 mph fastball from Rockies pitcher German Marquez during Sunday's 9-7 win over Colorado.

"As good as could be expected," Cubs manager Joe Maddon said after the game, via ESPN. "I have not heard of anything awful, but they're still watching him. I have not heard the word 'concussion' yet."

Lucky it didn't catch him in the sunglasses, shattering into his eye. Could end a career.
