The Cardinals have a 55-39 interleague edge over the Royals, although Kansas City has a 15-14 advantage at Busch III. This year the Cardinals are 3-3 in interleague play and Kansas City 0-2.
The Royals have the second-worst home record in the majors at 7-18, but it’s not a whole lot better on the road at 7-14. Once a pitching-rich club, Kansas City sports the highest earned run average in the majors at 5.54.

Is Pham batting leadoff the best spot for him given everyone else is hitting like shiite? I would still think having him hit 2nd or 3rd would be better for RBI opps.

In an ideal world I would want Fowler or Bader in the leadoff spot; Pham 2 or 3.
