has to be hicks...way too many walks but the hr's are gonna be damn rare and he's the one guy, maybe w carlos, that could walk the bases loaded and credibly be expected to get out of it.Radbird wrote:And just when I’m about ready to anoint Mayer the closer, he issues a walk and a double. The search continues.

winning last 2 nights as an underdog has put our playoff odds at 538 at 78% and will likely be 80-85% if kershaw can beat rockies.

Just getting back from watching at the pub and now I'm drunk-reading the GDT. Y'all are a treasure and that was an awesome game.

The reason I hesitate to hand the role over to Cmart is his struggles in "the\his 1st inning". Even though he's had relief experience. Hicks will walk guys, but so will Carlos(if the 9th is his 1st inning pitched).

How in the hell do the Cards piss all over themselves against the goddamn reds and tigers and then spank the braves? I don't understand what is going on.
EDIT: Oh, and well done all on all the trek memes.

only sport where even the worst team on the road is gonna beat the best team at home 25-35% of the time.
in the nba that is a 3-5% proposition.
in the nfl it is 5-10%.

In the SEC it's 100% if it's Bama vs the little orange.wyattvol wrote:it's baseball, man.JCShutout wrote:How in the hell do the Cards piss all over themselves against the goddamn reds and tigers and then spank the braves? I don't understand what is going on.

But anyway, the Atlanta Braves would be in 4th place if they were in the Central...
Because they are...
