#Astros closing in on free-agent outfielder Michael Brantley, sources tell The Athletic. Rival executives expect deal to be in two-year, $32M range.

This makes it look like the Phillies overpaid for Cutch by a year.

The Astros now have four of the 20 lowest projected strikeout rates in baseball.

At that price rate, I think I might have made a run at Brantley. That's really nothing for a guy who could really have an impact on a lineup. Not a great fit for us, but I'm always on the lookout for a discount. I can see why the Cards were interested.

If we don't make some roster moves soon, the Cardinals will probably win or lose every game they play this year.

EDIT: Fixed typo.

Interesting approach. Load up with pitchers with high K rates, and hitters with low K rates.

If we had signed Brantley before Harper had been signed anywhere
