Post by lukethedrifter »

For those unable to read posted tweets

No baseball until Friday so here's a look at what the Hall of Fame ballot may look like next month according to the eligible players listed at @baseball_ref. (It's very likely that the Hall's screening committee will leave a few of the first-time eligibles off the ballot.)

Bay
Berkman
Bonds
Clemens
Contreras
Dempster
Dotel
Garcia
Garland
Haffner
Halladay
Helton
Hernandez, Ramon
Jones, Andruw
Kent
Lilly
Lowe
Martinez, Edgar

Mussina
Oliver
Oswalt

Pierre
Polanco
Ramirez
Rivera
Rolen
Schilling
Sheffield
Sosa
Tejada
Torrealba
Vizquel
Wagner
Walker
Wells
Westbrook
Youkilis
Young, Michael

Only 7 of them should be in. Here they are in order:

Bonds
Clemens
Mussina
Schilling
Walker
Rolen
Rivera

Rest are "hall of very good" or should not even remotely be considered. (yes I know - screening committee)

Stupid Mo bidding against himself. He could have had Bay AND Figgins for less than Holliday.
