Peak Andujar is hard to beat

One not on the list is Danny Cox. I just remember him pitching in some huge games down the stretch and playoffs in 1987, and doing well

Yes; Cox was an important part of the staff but he never got an opening day start. He had quite a presence on the mound.

What's interesting to me is that two of the pitchers up there that have not received votes; deservedly so of course; were traded for one another. The Vuckovich package to Milwaukee included LaPoint in the return. Ah the Vuckovich era...good times. I don't remember them.

John Tudor.......... as far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't even be a contest.

It's not

After starting something like 1-7, he got a call and a tip from an old coach. From that point forward, he was actually better than Dwight Gooden during his Cy Young year. Simply dominant, I've never seen such a dramatic turn-around.

Preferred "Walking Underwear" over Tudor.

I know I've mentioned this before but, damnit, I'm going to mention it again.

It was indeed 7 loses. I know this because I drove from Huntsville, Al, to Fulton Co. Stadium to watch loss number 7. I left there wishing they'd just release that worthless bum Tudor.

And that's the rest

of the story.

Good day.

RIP Paul Harvey.

That's some classic Shlabotnik.

He threw a CGSO to send the Cards to the Series that year
