I mostly forgot about Dunston as a Card, but had no idea he had an "O" in his first name. I remember watching him with the Cubs and don't remember the O
I remember even as a kid how hilarious it was listening to Harry Carey try to say that guy’s name.
Harry is why I remember the O....Shaw won Dunstun up to bat....Heee poooppped it up

Waiting in the wings to be the next great 1B for the Cardinals. I forgot Bob Horner was a Cardinal too.

One of the Tony's Pets. Typical of managers to get some roster in-fill from past jobs. sometimes it worked, sometimes not. Larussa seemed to do it quite a bit.
Herzog brought in Steve Braun, Jamie Quirk.

What is cool about Schildt, he isn't as prone to these biases and attachments yet.

Anyways, carry on with the thread.

Gallego was a bench guy anyways. Didn't play much once it was apparent he was done. Alicea was the primary 2B.

Honeycutt, Eckersley, and Stottlemyre all had their roles that 1996 run.
