Exactly. Not all dealers are the seedy underbelly of society-type. Catering to an upper escalon is all some of these guys do.

Horrible. Heartbreaking.

I'm confused as to how an Angels employee would be at fault.

I’m assuming he’s the one that got him the drugs. These players don’t go to dealers themselves.

They most certainly do.

I would guess players would be smart and/or fraternal/commincative enough (someone in the clubhouse would introduce him to someone or at least tell him not to be a bozo or something) to maintain a degree of separation. I was shocked no ballplayers came out of the Ashley Madison breach, for example.

But I have no real knowledge. What's your point of view?

You're giving them way too much credit for no real reason.

These guys that buy Power Tiger 8000 capsules from gas stations? Yeah, probably. But they're never getting busted. And you'd think one of the dummies would have been on Ashley Madison. I would guess there's a decent network to get them their blow and other goodies. But it would surprise me if many of them deal directly with dealers.

Not in my experience

You're right. They must be plucking their opiods of the magic opiod tree.

No...as I said, employees with the team get them drugs/buy the drugs for them

Hence the angels employee mentioned that will most likely get in trouble

Getting and selling him drugs sounds suspiciously like a drug dealer.

i wouldn't exactly classify it as a "drug dealer"...player gives the team employee money to go buy drugs for them. the employee could be in accounting, or merchandising, or ticket sales...whatever. the player knows him/befriends him, and the employee knows where to get drugs, and the player gives them money to do that for them. the employee isn't "selling" them; which is the definition to being a "drug dealer"...he knows a guy who is "selling" them and uses the players money to go buy the drugs for the player(s), and turns around to give them to them...he's not making any money out of this entire transaction (in my experinece)

but yes, it's obv illegal; that's how/why the employee will get in trouble

Players definitely go directly to dealers though.

Also that IS what a drug dealer is...or it can be at least. They aren't always a guy on a street corner.

Rich people are always doing stupid [expletive]. Bob Kraft went directly to an illegal massage parlor and he's a billionaire. Public figures don't always use intermediaries.

no, not really...that's not what a drug dealer is...drug dealer...they sell something.

anyways....yes, players, owners, rich people, famous people don't use intermediaries all the time. they're stupid/think they're above the law/whatever...

BUT that's not the point of any of this conversation the last couple pages...the question here was asked a couple pages ago; why would an angels employee be in trouble...and i'm saying, i guarantee you that is why. the employee bought drugs for skaggs.
