Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

You know who could be useful down the stretch? A healthy and productive Jedd Gyorko.

exactly....we've really got the most out of that contract...don't use him correctly/didn't trade him when he could've brought useful pieces back

it's odd that he was prepared to go on a rehab trip and they moved him to the 60 day IL; can you put someone on it/keep someone there who's not injured any longer?

Rosscup makes more sense now. LOOGY is just gonna be a carousel. Webb used then to Memphis. Rosscup up, then DFA. Shreve takes his place then DFA. Webb back up, etc.

Once we DFA Rosscup he has plenty of time to play for a 5th MLB team this year.

So, the Cardinals plan is to claim a replacement level lefty who is out of options, and then trade a very good player away while he is injured, so they can roll with Tommy Edman and Yairo Munoz down the stretch.

If either Edman or Munoz has one season in their careers as good as Gyrko’s average season, I will eat my wet gym shorts everyday for a year.

I have no idea what we are doing anymore. Maybe Gyorko is the secret key to landing Thor or something, but I seriously doubt it.

Well you have to trade him when his value is at its lowest point

It’s the cardinal way

I have no idea what we are doing anymore, either.

I'm really hoping there is a bigger move coming that will make all this seem logical in hind sight. Cause I'm not seeing it right now!
