...Some not-so-feel-good stats... Cards, even with the loss, take the season series with the Brewers 10-9. Cards have outscored the Brewers in the season series 110-80, a 30-run difference... Cardinals' W-L record before today's game when scoring 6 or more runs, 45-5, for a .900 avg. Now, record is 45-6...

Just what I expected, except I thought it would be Moustakas with the slam. The last 2 series were our best chances to pad the lead, against the Rockies and then at home against the Brewers, and we lose both series. It’s all uphill from here. We will probably be eliminated before we even hit the last Cubs series. We had a good run against bad teams that fooled us in to thinking we had a chance.

i never expected us to win at colorado, but certainly expected a better performance against a yelich-less brewers.

looks like it back to limpdick cardinal offense and if thats case, it's gonna be a long couple of series against the cubs and nats

...Cards offense had 5 hits today...only one of which was not a HR. A team hits 4 HR's in a game, they usually win it. BP basically lost the game, giving up 7 runs in the last 3 innings... The team was within 1 strike in the 9th of winning the game but failed. Batters 1-6 in the Cards' lineup went 1-for-20 today. ...Very tough loss...

I finally went back to the video highlight of Paul D's home run. Sure enough, you can barely make me out back in the shadows. I jumped up as soon as it left his bat. I knew immediately it was coming right at us. It hit about 6 or 7 rows in front me me. A kid had it hit his glove. He didn't catch it on the fly but he knocked it down and was able to pick it up. It was awesome.
