Cardinals were very aggressive with Carlson this season. He is at Peoria now, and after a strong first few games he has really scuffled for the last week.

OT and Sierra are the other notable young guns who have been pushed to the MWL very early. It worked well for OT, but not so much for Sierra.

Interesting thing is they both played there at their age 19 seasons. Carlson doesn't turn 19 till late october.

He was given a pretty tough task. Hope he figures things out soon.

Eight innings, 1 H, 1 BB, 6 SO and 9 groundouts to 4 flyouts. Arozarena also had a nice game.

The Springfield rotation of Flaherty, Alcantara, Hudson, Gomber, Pearce is a pretty nice collection of talent but I think Palm Springs has it beat (Gallen, J. Fernandez, Helsley, Woodford, C. Jones).

I'm glad you mentioned this because I was thinking it was Anthony Garcia and skipping over that name in box scores.
