Is Brett Wallace really that much of a better hitting prospect than Craig? Granted Wallace is only 23 and Craig is 25, but Craig's MILB pedigree is as impressive, if not more impressive, than Wallace's:

-----------Craig----Wallace
MILB OPS: .879-----.859
AAA OPS: .921-----.815
AA OPS: .877-----.914
MILB SLG .513-----.475
AB/HR 21.1-----26.2
K/BB 2.20-----2.35

Craig seemed to improve this year. The commentators during the game noted how he had improved his bat speed. I was pretty impressed with his ABs tonight.

Neither guy has a position in the majors, but Craig might be passable in LF with some more experience. I'm not sure if Wallace is.

The love for Wallace has nothing to do with his minor league performance to date.

I hope Craig keps raking and his D becomes acceptable in the OF.
A possible replacement for Ludwick, when he gets too expensive.
Trade Luddy to ATL for a pitching prospect.
It worked w/ Drew for Waino.

I understand that. He amassed a fine resume at ASU and has a beautiful swing, but one could debate that his professional performance hasn't quite lived up to his billing. With experience, I imagine it will.

But this is all besides the point. Craig apparently has evolved into a pretty good hitter, albeit one without a position. I am just surprised he hasn't gotten more props given the season he has put together.

I'd be ecstatic if Craig could become the Cards Jake Fox.

A colleague got Mrs. Jack hooked on it, and she has spent the past week watching the first seasons on demand to get caught up. It's been a veritable Dexterfest at the Jack household.

Good, it's an awesome show. And Lithgow was really good in the first episode this year.
